Nothing quite matches the feeling of
standing on the deck of a square rigger with the wind in your face and
the smell of salt in the air, as you watch the huge red sails billowing
aloft.
All distinctions of age, sex and
nationality disappear in a communion of yells and laughter as we haul
ropes and prepare to set sail for the Great Barrier Reef and the
Whitsunday Islands aboard our lovingly restored 23m Norwegian sailing
ship 'Coral Trekker'.
Join the crew in the
rigging (they'll show you the ropes) or just sit back and relax on the
wide timber decks. The itinerary is unhurried. Setting aside lots of
time for strolling secluded beaches, snorkelling, scuba diving, hiking
national park trails and beach barbecues. Coral Trekker has a scuba
diving compressor on board. The scuba instructor can cater for novice
and introductory divers.
