|
The course is a learn to sail adventure which teaches the skills and techniques involved in sailing a yacht. Each student will receive an Australian Yachting Federation Accredited Competent Crew Certificate upon successful completion. The Cruise is skippered by a qualified AYF instructor who will teach a variety of practical and theory components involved in the sailing of a yacht. All yachts
will be either a Jeanneay, Beneteay of Sydney 38 and comply with
department of Transport survey specifications. |

| With only 6 students per cruise, personal attention is assured. Each evening you will moor at the world famous Hamilton Island and spend the night in your own private cabin onboard your yacht. | |||||

The Cruise |

|
Day 1 - Depart Abel Point Marina at 9:00am. Start learning the ropes in thee World' most beautiful classroom, the Whitsundays. The nationally accredited Competent Crew course will have you setting the sails, charting a course and learning the finer points of handling a yacht. Spend your first night moored at Hamilton Island and enjoy an evening of entertainment with the crew at the Island's fantastic bars and clubs. Afterwards, relax in the comfort of your own private cabin onboard you yacht. |

Day 2
- Depart Hamilton Island for another exciting day sailing the Whitsundays.
You will learn new skills such as ropework, helmsmanship, safety,
anchoring and much more.
Return to Hamilton Island that afternoon and enjoy the resort facilities for your second night aboard your yacht in Hamilton Marina. |

Day 3
-
Set off for your final day at school, putting your new skills to the test
as you sail through the sparkling waters of the Whitsundays, then back to
Airlie Beach.
Upon your arrival at Abel Point Marina at approx 4:00pm you will be presented with your official Competent Crew Certificate. |
